Hafan y Coed, Llanddulas
Set among trees on a beautiful natural site in Llanddulas, our Forest School invites children into a world of exploration, challenge, and imagination. Each session unfolds through their interests and the rhythm of the seasons — climbing, den-building, creating, storytelling, and discovering what’s possible when they follow their own ideas.
Through muddy adventures and moments of calm, children build confidence, resilience, creativity, and a lasting connection to nature. With trusted adults who know when to step in and when to step back, each child is free to take risks, use their imagination and creativity and experience the excitement of fresh air, open space, and the joy of finding their own way.

What is forest school?
Forest School is an educational approach which provides space in nature for children and adults to explore, learn and grow.
Learners develop in confidence, resilience and independence through encountering experiences that are new and exciting while in a space where they are safe and supported to be themselves.
Each session is different and is informed by the interests and needs of the participants, but common themes running through each one are connection with nature, play, problem solving and risk-taking.
Testimonials
"It was a wonderful experience. The session was well organised and allowed my children to explore nature in a safe yet nurturing environment."
Alice, Old Colwyn
"Thank you so much for providing such a lovely afternoon for the girls, they were disappointed to leave! It was an ideal space that allowed for plenty of safe roaming, there were also lots of opportunities for creative play. The girls appreciated the opportunity to get their hands dirty and interact with a wide range of fun equipment."
Millie, Llysfaen
“Excellent space and set up. Clear areas but freedom to wander as the child felt. Children were able to choose what they did and use their imagination. Good balance of planned activities and child led opportunities which led to use of imagination. Resources and equipment available and organised.”
Catrin, Kinmel Bay
